Best Care For Your Good Health 24 * 7
Considering all these factors, the mission diocese recognized a need to extend its support to the local community in the field of health ministry. In 2002, it established a hospital to address the health needs of the sick in this locality and the neighboring districts of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli. The hospital began humbly, supported by Manos Unidas in Spain, with 100 beds and general medical facilities.
The hospital embodies Christian values that have become its core identity. The Diocese of Chanda, under the auspices of the Diocese of Chanda Society, runs strong community-based programs and development interventions across three civil districts in Maharashtra, serving a population of 13 million people. These community health programs paved the way for establishing a referral hospital. Beneficiaries from these programs are referred to Christ Hospital for further investigation and medical treatment.
Christ Community Hospital represents the realization of a dream cherished by the Catholic Diocese of Chanda. The hospital operates 23 satellite clinics in various diocese parts, managed by religious sisters and other staff. This network of satellite clinics enables Christ Hospital to offer quality services to individuals in remote rural areas.
The hospital features various departments, including Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Community Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Neurology, Critical Care Medicine, ENT, Dentistry, Casualty, Dialysis, Radiology and Imaging, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Hematology, Psychiatry, Physiotherapy, Clinical Pathology, and Community Health.
